Job Description

Job Summary The Life Skills & Workforce Development Coordinator will plan, coordinate, and provide life skills and workforce development services for program participants. This position combines classroom-style instruction, individualized coaching, hands-on learning, and connections to employment and training opportunities. Using a client-centered and trauma-informed approach, the Coordinator will help participants identify goals, strengthen employability, develop practical life skills, obtain employment, and build the skills necessary to maintain employment and greater independence. Responsibilities Provide individual and group instruction in life skills and employment readiness. Assist participants with resumes, job searches, applications, interviewing, and workplace expectations. Teach practical skills such as communication, budgeting, financial literacy, household management, transportation planning, and problem-solving. Provide individualized employment coaching and help participants establish realistic employment and self-sufficiency goals. Coordinate hands-on workforce development and training opportunities within Care Corps' LifeHouse programs and through community partners. Build relationships with local employers, educational programs, and workforce-development partners. Connect participants with education, certification, training, and employment opportunities. Work closely with case managers and other staff to identify participant needs, goals, barriers, and progress. Maintain accurate documentation of participant services, activities, outcomes, and progress. Assist with tracking program outcomes and information required for grant reporting. Provide services in a professional, respectful, confidential, and trauma-informed manner. Perform other duties related to the Life Skills & Workforce Development Program as assigned. Requirements Experience in workforce development, human services, case management, education, employment services, coaching, or a related field is preferred. The ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds and life experiences is essential. Candidates should be comfortable providing both individual coaching and group instruction, working collaboratively with community partners and employers, maintaining documentation, and helping participants establish and work toward measurable goals. Pay:
$20.00 - $22.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
