View More Jobs Human Resources Operations Partner OH, United States Job Description The HR Operations Specialist II will provide day-to-day operational support to the HR department by ensuring data integrity and adhering to key deadlines. This role will support information flow throughout various departments and functions throughout the employee life-cycle and ensure accuracy of employee records. The role will work in collaboration with Operations Supervisor as well as with the Benefits Manager, Benefits Consultants, HR Recruiters, HR Business Partners and functional stakeholders in order to understand business priorities and to ensure timely and accurate processing of all required functions.
The primary areas include:
benefits administration and reporting; and HR Operations. Responsibilities- Provide specialized expertise to resolve complex benefits cases received within Total Value.
- Handle routine benefits administration questions/issues such as qualifying events; process new hire benefits enrollment; coordinate COBRA administration duties; and monitor benefit vendor file feeds and work with HRIS team to resolve issues, assist with coordination of annual enrollment activities
- Acts as first point of contact for team members regarding benefit enrollment and plan usage. Assist team members over the phone and via email, escalating issues to Benefits Team and HR Operations Supervisor as appropriate.
- Coordinate the administration of all benefit programs including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short and long term disability, flexible spending accounts and health savings accounts.
- Acts as liaison between employee and insurance providers to resolve benefit related problems.
- Investigate and correct systemic errors from payroll processing, benefit and vendor systems. Validate accuracy of benefit enrollments to provide vendors with accurate eligibility information.
- Provide support for benefits plan compliance including internal and external auditing of benefit transactions.
- Supports a culture of continuous improvement through process implementation and documentation.
- Ensures all process documentation is maintained and updated as needed and acts as SME on HR processes.
- Ensures adherence to defined HR processes.
- Conducts research of issues as appropriate and provide resolution in a timely manner.
- Assists in running/maintaining reports.
- Responds to first-line HR questions from employees, managers, HR staff, etc. regarding HR related items including policies, processes, and benefits.
- Assists in ensuring data integrity and researches and coordinates the resolution of missing or incorrect data.
- Assists in identifying quality and service problems or issues and make recommendations for improvement.
- Maintains knowledge of legal requirements and government regulations affecting human resources functions and assist in ensuring policies and procedures are in compliance.
- Assists and monitors Performance Appraisal process.
- Researches complex issues and provides solutions.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
EDUCATION:
Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or related field preferred.YEARS OF EXPERIENCE
- 3-5 years of Human Resources experience required, including experience in Benefits.
- Proficiency in Word, Excel and PowerPoint at an intermediate or above level.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
- Strong analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills
- Strong customer service and follow up
- Excellent verbal and written communication as well as listening skills.
