DIRECTOR OF HUMAN RESOURCES
Youngstown, OH $140,000-$160,000 A growing, multi-location organization is seeking an experienced Director of Human Resources to lead the organization's people strategy and HR operations. This position will partner closely with executive and operational leadership and will play a key role in building scalable HR practices that support continued growth. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on HR leader with experience supporting a distributed workforce and multiple locations. Retail, real estate, hospitality, consumer services, or other multi-site environments are highly preferred.
OVERVIEW OF THE DIRECTOR OF HUMAN RESOURCES ROLE
Lead the overall HR function and develop strategies aligned with organizational goals Partner with executive and operational leadership on workforce planning and organizational development Oversee recruiting, onboarding, employee relations, performance management, and retention initiatives Develop and implement HR policies, processes, and best practices Support leaders and managers with employee relations, coaching, and performance issues Oversee compensation, benefits, and employee engagement initiatives Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations Analyze workforce trends and HR metrics to support business decisions Help develop leadership and employee development programs Lead initiatives related to culture, employee engagement, and retention Manage and develop the HR team Support organizational growth, change management, and process improvement
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE DIRECTOR OF HUMAN RESOURCES ROLE
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field 8+ years of progressive HR experience, including leadership experience Experience supporting a multi-location or distributed workforce strongly preferred Retail or real estate experience highly preferred Strong employee relations and employment law knowledge Experience developing and implementing HR policies and processes Strong leadership, communication, and relationship-building skills Ability to balance strategic HR leadership with a hands-on approach SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR certification is a plus EB-1707418139
