Key Responsibilities:
Talent Acquisition & Onboarding Manage full-cycle recruitment for salaried, professional, and administrative positions Partner with hiring managers to develop hiring strategies and workforce plans Create and implement structured interview processes, candidate evaluations, and offer procedures Oversee onboarding, new hire orientation, I-9 compliance, benefits enrollment, and employee setup HR Operations & Compliance Develop and implement HR policies, procedures, and best practices Maintain personnel files, employee documentation, handbooks, and job descriptions Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws across multiple states Oversee
DOT/FMCSA
driver qualification files, MVR monitoring, Clearinghouse requirements, and drug/alcohol testing programs Manage training and certification records, including CDL, OSHA, CPR, and other required qualifications Administer workers' compensation claims and return-to-work programs Employee Relations & Performance Management Serve as the primary HR contact for employee concerns, questions, and workplace issues Conduct investigations and maintain appropriate documentation Design and manage the employee performance review process Coach managers on employee development, performance management, and corrective action Partner with leadership on employee relations and organizational decisions Compensation, Benefits & HR Strategy Administer company benefit programs, including medical, dental, vision, life, disability, and retirement plans Lead annual open enrollment activities Manage vendor, broker, and carrier relationships Partner with payroll and accounting teams to ensure accuracy of employee data and payroll changes Provide compensation benchmarking and market analysis recommendations Culture & Organizational Development Establish onboarding programs that improve employee engagement and productivity Develop retention initiatives and turnover reporting metrics Identify training and development opportunities across departments Partner with leadership on succession planning, organizational growth, and leadership development initiatives
Human Resources Manager Job Requirements:
5+ years of progressive Human Resources experience with responsibility across multiple HR disciplines Proven experience in recruiting, employee relations, benefits administration, compliance, and performance management Experience building HR programs, policies, and processes from the ground up Knowledge of federal and multi-state employment laws Experience managing full-cycle recruitment for professional, salaried, or administrative positions Ability to work independently and effectively manage multiple priorities Workers' compensation claims management experience PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or
SHRM-SCP
