Northern Tier Solid Waste Authority The Northern Tier Solid Waste Authority seeks an organized, dependable professional with strong communication skills to manage human resources, develop customer relationships, and lead community outreach.
Reporting to the Executive Director, the position's principal responsibilities include:
Human Resources :
Coordinate recruitment, hiring, employee orientation, benefits, and performance reviews. Advise the Executive Director on personnel matters, recommend disciplinary action, and assist with employee terminations. FMLA compliance to ensure employee well-being and legal adherence. The Human Resources Manager may have the opportunity to be on the Management Team.
Payroll:
Assist with payroll preparation and processing.
Customer Development:
Build customer relationships, identify new business opportunities, and assist with service proposals and agreements.
Community Outreach:
Develop relationships with municipalities, businesses, and community organizations to promote NTSWA services and programs.
Safety and Compliance:
Oversee employee testing and driver qualification programs, support workplace safety, and supervise the Recycling/Safety Coordinator.
Qualifications:
Fiveyears of professional human resources experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Bachelor's degree in human resources, business, public administration, or a related field preferred. Strong organizational skills, sound judgment, and the ability to maintain confidentiality required.
Fidelity Bond:
