About the Role You'll be the hands-on partner to our Director of Partner Engagement, supporting the stage between a client's decision to work with us and the start of regular monthly service. You'll do the analysis, apply our onboarding structure and run quality checks that let us scope engagements accurately, onboard clients smoothly and give our VP Controllers everything they need from the start. Who You Are You're a detail-oriented Accounting Manager who can read a set of financials and quickly spot what's missing, what's risky and what it will take to get the books right. You like turning messy starting points into clear, repeatable processes, and you take pride in a client's first experience with us going well.
You likely have:
4+ years in accounting or financial management (construction experience required) Experience reviewing financials to assess complexity, cleanup needs, and risk A strong grasp of accounting best practices, internal controls and quality assurance Experience with accounting software and Microsoft Office; construction accounting tools (WIP, job costing) The ability to explain accounting concepts clearly to clients and internal teams A proactive, organized, improvement-minded approach If you're energized by accuracy, processes, and client impact: this role is built for you. What You'll Do Prospect evaluation and scoping support Review intake notes, preliminary financials and system access to assess each prospect's readiness, complexity and risk Identify red flags, missing information and scoping concerns so the Director can make informed go / pause / re-scope decisions Provide the financial analysis and hour estimates behind proposals, so scope, timelines and pricing are realistic Onboarding readiness and Controller handoff Manage onboarding readiness checklists, confirming systems access, data completeness, documentation and known risks before work begins Build complete, structured handoff packages so Controllers can start work without rework or missing information Keep central onboarding tracking up to date, follow up on open items and escalate blockers early Support accurate client setup to LLUM standards, including chart of accounts, templates and standard reconciliations Client experience during onboarding Work with the Director as a responsive contact for clients during onboarding, collecting information and keeping timelines on track Help translate accounting and process requirements into clear, client-friendly requests Quality alignment Review early deliverables, such as a client's first close, first financial package and first WIP schedule, for structure, consistency and adherence to standards Run quality reviews and audits of client files, and identify gaps, inefficiencies or departures from process Track recurring onboarding risks and delays, and share what you learn to improve scoping, onboarding standards and training Diagnostic engagements and process improvement Carry out the analysis and data gathering for diagnostic and advisory engagements led by the Director Help develop and refine quality control protocols, onboarding checklists and review processes Work with our automation partners to streamline intake, readiness scoring, proposal preparation and onboarding workflows Stay current on industry regulations and accounting standards About
