Job Description The West Coast Studio Operations HR team at NBCUniversal is looking for a collaborative, results-driven and innovative HR Manager. This role joins a high-performing team of experienced HR professionals striving to exceed employee expectations and deliver an engaging, respectful and collaborative work environment. We support the West Coast Studio Operations business at NBCU with a rich history in Film & TV as well as industry-leading production services, post production, stages & backlot, special events and a facilities team that keeps it all working. In this role, you will be the key HR partner for several functions in the operation of a unique Hollywood-style, full-service studio lot. In addition to providing HR leadership for all corporate employees at the Assembly Studio site, you will also provide regional support for employee relations matters and training needs in support of the production teams. Working closely with the Director, HR, this role will help drive HR projects that span: onboarding, rewards and recognition, performance feedback, talent attraction and development, and HR's business impact. In the day to day, you will strategize in the areas of: organization design & integration, staffing, compensation planning, manager coaching, employee development, workforce planning and performance management.Responsibilities:
Be a business partner with HR expertise in leading resolution to complicated employee relations issues for represented and non-represented employees with a proactive, inclusive and fair approach, leveraging experts from our Labor Relations and Employment Law teams as needed Deliver consistent, high-quality HR support and ensure alignment across teams Be the chief interpreter and implementer for HR policies, practices and procedures for all level of employees, looking to further the mission, values and strategic vision of the business. Build trusting, supportive relationships with leaders and employees; proactively identify themes and recommend thoughtful, practical solutions. Be a key contributor in drafting documentation and exercise sound judgment while knowing when to escalate. Partner with leadership to design and implement action plans that address performance, culture, and operational challenges; use data and insights to proactively identify and solve issues in a highly matrixed environment Champion both the employee perspective and the company needs to promote a positive, collaborative, respectful, and engaging work environment.
