Principle Accountabilities include:
  • Develop and maintain industrial customer relationships by establishing communications on a regular and ongoing basis
  • Development of a positive and dedicated relationship between CNNGA and the Authority's industrial customers to ensure customer needs are met as quickly and efficiently as possible. Initiate contact to become more versed in each industrial account, obtaining as much knowledge as possible about each customer's operation
  • Act as the Authority's Primary point of contact between CNNGA and the Authority's industrial accounts. Obtain and notify industrial customers each month of the cost of gas. Monitor the monthly usage data for each account to determine if accounts vary from normal consumption profiles and report any significant variances to the General Manager or Director of Finance.
  • Direct customers to the appropriate personnel to answer specific questions or meet customer needs outside of individuals ability. Retain ownership of customers' need and follow-up with customers to ensure questions are resolved.
  • Notify each interruptible customer of the commodity pricing of natural gas for the coming month and verify that each account will be using natural gas the following month. Identify and communicate factors to encourage use of natural gas by the Industrial customers and develop a plan to engage customers using alternative fuels as their primary energy source.
  • Notify interruptible customers of possible curtailment of service when pending weather forecasts and weather information determine it likely for a curtailment of service.
Notify affected industrial customers of the effective date and time of curtailment and document such notification. Throughout each curtailment period, periodically monitor gas flow data on each curtailed account to ensure compliance with curtailment agreement. As soon as curtailment has ceased, notify each affected account of the date and time they may resume consumption of natural gas and document each notification. Responsible for maintaining records of curtailments, pricing and other pertinent data relative to each industrial account and each account's respective measurement data. Responsible for monitoring accounts receivable on each industrial account to ensure payments are received in a timely manner and contact delinquent accounts.
  • Support local business development in the service territory of the Authority by actively participating in regional Economic Development Organizations.
  • Develop, implement, and provide oversite of the Authority's Technical Operations
  • Provide oversite of the Authority's technical operations to ensure compliance and quality standardization.
  • Direct implementation of the Authority's Control Room management and SCADA applications.
  • Direct and ensure training for technical operations employees who perform control room monitoring and/or field work to maintain pipeline facilities such as Industrial meter installations, Regulator Stations and Instrumentation and Controls.
  • Establish and maintain a proficient GIS mapping system and ensure compliance with all applicable DOT regulations and DIM requirements as applicable to GIS mapping.
  • Identify and facilitate strategic measures to ensure quality GIS data entry
  • Developing policy and procedure for GIS data entry and Data Management
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
II. JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum qualifications:
  • Associates degree in Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or other related fields.
  • Experience in Natural Gas Operations
  • Experience in industrial environment with exposure to tasks including energy acquisition and tracking of energy usage.
  • Experience working in utility GIS/Mapping
  • Good verbal and written skills
  • Demonstrated competency in a Windows environment to include a working knowledge of spreadsheets and word-processing applications such as those included in Microsoft Office Applications.
  • Ability to resolve conflicts efficiently and diplomatically between industrial customers and CNNGA.
  • Ability to read, understand and interpret contractual agreements.
  • Within 24 months, obtain and maintain pertinent operator qualifications and successfully perform job-related skills as required.
  • Must have and maintain a valid S.
C. Driver's License and the ability to maintain standards for insurability.
Desired qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or other related fields.
  • 10 Years' Experience in Natural Gas Operations with a focus on Industrial Relations, Gas Measurement, Pressure Control and Control Room Management
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in Gis Management including development, implementation, and oversight.
  • Experience supervising Direct reports.
  • Working Experience implementing and using software applications to manage operational processes.
  • Experience with Electronic and Pneumatic Instrumentation and controls
Physical Requirements:
  • Primarily working in an office environment.
Work is minimally strenuous but may require exerting up to 50 lbs. of force occasionally to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects, including the human body; involves sitting at a computer for long periods of time, but may involve walking or standing for extended periods. Could involve working outside and may involve working in inclement weather. Must be able to walk over uneven terrain.
  • Must be available to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed and some out-of-town travel may be required.
