Job Description
Job Overview Innovive is a consistently growing manufacturing and services company serving the biomedical research industry. We are looking for an experienced Senior HR Manager/ Business Partner to lead the Human Resources function at our North Sioux City manufacturing facility. This highly visible role serves as the on-site HR partner for employees working closely with company leadership to foster a positive, collaborative, and high-performing work environment. This position plays a key role in ensuring HR practices support business objectives while promoting employee engagement, compliance, and professional development. This position reports to our Chief Financial Officer based at our company headquarters in San Diego, California, and collaborates regularly with both site leadership and other corporate HR individuals to ensure consistent, compliant, and people-focused HR support. - Serve as the HR leader for the entire local manufacturing site building strong partnerships with other functional leaders.
- Partner with executive management, other HR professionals, and the site's functional leaders to build and maintain company-wide HR strategies, initiatives, and best practices.
- Work with local functional leaders on the site's safety protocols and objectives, including best practices surrounding safety meetings, reviews, and remediation activities.
- Provide coaching, guidance, and support on HR policies, procedures, employee relations, and performance conversations.
- Lead conflict resolution efforts, support performance improvement plans, and coach managers through employee performance discussions.
- Manage the full-cycle recruitment process, including posting, sourcing, interviewing, and facilitating offers to attract top talent.
- Oversee and facilitate a seamless onboarding and orientation experience for new employees.
- Implement and support site-specific employee engagement initiatives that promote collaboration, continuous improvement, and a positive work environment.
- Identify training needs, coordinate development programs, and facilitate job leveling program to enhance employee skills and support career growth.
- Support performance management processes, including communication, training, progress tracking, and development planning.
- Working with the corporate HR team, participate in the management of employee benefits programs, including health, wellness, and retirement plans.
- Oversee accurate and timely payroll processing in partnership with the corporate HR team.
- Work with the corporate HR team to ensure HR policies, procedures, and practices comply with local, state, and federal laws and regulations.
- Maintain accurate employee records and HR systems with a high level of confidentiality and attention to detail.
- Investigate and document workplace accidents, incidents, and near-misses to promote a safe work environment.
- Perform other HR duties as assigned to support business needs. Qualifications & Skills
- A proven ability to build strong relationships, support employee development, and foster a positive, engaging, high-performing work environment.
- Solid understanding of HR best practices, employment laws, and compliance requirements.
- Strong organizational and planning skills with the ability to think proactively, prioritize effectively, and make sound decisions.
- High level of discretion and confidentiality when handling sensitive employee matters.
- Ability to work cross-functionally and build trust while demonstrating high personal standards of ethics and integrity.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to remain positive, approachable, and poised under pressure.
- Proficiency in HRIS systems, Microsoft Office, and Google Workspace tools.
- Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree, in Human Resources or a related field preferred.
- A minimum of 5 years in an HR management position, including progressive HR experience in a fast-paced, professional work environment, ideally in manufacturing or operations.
Pay:
$105,000.00 - $125,000.00 per yearBenefits:
