We are seeking an experienced Human Resources Business Partner to support employees and operational leaders across an assigned multi-state region. About the Role The Human Resources Business Partner serves as a hands-on advisor to regional leaders while managing the daily HR needs of a dispersed, high-volume workforce. This position handles employee relations, workplace investigations, leave administration, compliance, payroll support, HR reporting, and process oversight. The HRBP also provides functional guidance to an HR Coordinator and helps field leaders apply company policies consistently. The right candidate can move between strategic business discussions and detailed HR administration. You should be comfortable working independently, identifying process gaps, challenging leaders when needed, and following issues through resolution. What You'll DoEmployee Relations and Leadership Support Advise regional and site leaders on employee relations, performance management, corrective action, conflict resolution, and policy application. Conduct timely, impartial, and well-documented workplace investigations. Review employee complaints and recommend appropriate action based on the facts, company policy, and applicable employment laws. Draft performance improvement plans, disciplinary actions, investigation documentation, and termination materials. Support employee terminations and other sensitive employment decisions. Identify employee relations and disciplinary trends across assigned facilities. HR Operations and Process Oversight Monitor new hires, transfers, compensation changes, status changes, rehires, and terminations for accurate and timely completion. Provide work direction, training, and mentorship to an assigned HR Coordinator. Audit HR records, system data, and workflow trackers for missing, duplicate, delayed, or conflicting information. Follow up with field leaders and HR team members to resolve incomplete or overdue actions. Manage E-Verify tentative nonconfirmations and required employee communications within regulatory deadlines. Leave, Benefits, and Workers' Compensation Manage FMLA and other leave-of-absence cases from intake through return to work. Coordinate with employees, managers, Safety, and outside partners on workers' compensation claims and modified-duty plans. Respond to employee benefits questions and support annual open enrollment. Maintain accurate leave, accommodation, and return-to-work documentation. Payroll and Timekeeping Support Investigate and resolve complex payroll and timecard concerns. Review punch trends, payroll changes, worked-time verification, and other data for unusual activity or errors. Support weekly payroll processing in Paycom when assigned. Manage unemployment claims, garnishments, employment verifications, and W-2 requests within the assigned scope. Compliance and Reporting Monitor federal, state, and local employment-law requirements across assigned locations. Support SMETA audits and other social-compliance reporting. Research regulatory changes and assist with state-specific handbook addenda. Develop and deliver compliance and HR systems training for leaders and HR team members. Prepare customer-specific reports and workforce analytics that support operational decisions. What You Bring Seven or more years of progressive HR experience in a generalist or business partner role. Practical knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws. Experience managing employee relations matters and conducting workplace investigations. Experience administering FMLA, leaves of absence, benefits, and return-to-work processes. Hands-on experience using an HRIS and maintaining accurate employee data. Strong reporting, analytical, documentation, and problem-solving skills. Ability to manage competing deadlines while handling sensitive information with discretion. Ability to build credibility with employees, frontline managers, and senior operational leaders. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation. Preferred Experience Paycom experience. Multi-state HR support. SMETA audits or social-compliance reporting. Supporting multiple business units or geographically dispersed locations. Food sanitation, industrial cleaning, manufacturing, construction, or another high-volume operational environment. Bilingual English and Spanish, preferred PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or
SHRM-SCP
certification. Schedule and Travel This is an on-site position based in Gunter, Texas. The HRBP may occasionally adjust working hours to support third-shift leaders, respond to urgent employee matters, or work an infrequent weekend.
