The Human Resources Manager serves as a strategic business partner, supporting leaders and employees across multiple locations while ensuring HR programs align with Vortex's culture, values, and business objectives. This role is responsible for driving employee relations, performance management, talent development, organizational effectiveness, compliance, and workforce planning while partnering closely with leaders to build high-performing teams. The ideal candidate is a hands-on HR professional who has progressed from a Senior HR Generalist role and is ready to lead broader HR initiatives in a fast-paced, growth-oriented organization. Key Responsibilities Partner with business leaders to align HR strategies with operational goals. Serve as the primary HR advisor for employee relations matters. Conduct workplace investigations while maintaining confidentiality and objectivity. Foster positive employee relations through regular visibility and engagement at field locations. Coach managers through performance concerns, corrective action, and conflict resolution. Promote a positive, inclusive, and high-performance work environment. Partner with Talent Acquisition to ensure effective hiring strategies. Support onboarding of new employees. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws. Maintain accurate employee records and HRIS data. Monitor HR metrics including turnover, retention, engagement, and time-to-fill. Partner with leadership to improve employee retention and overall employee experience. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field. Minimum 3 years of experience as a Senior HR Generalist or equivalent progressive HR experience. 5+ years of progressive Human Resources experience. Strong working knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices. Experience supporting multiple locations or business units. Experience partnering with leaders on employee relations, performance Must be able to work on-site full-time at the assigned Vortex location. Ability and willingness to travel up to 25-40% to support multiple locations, conduct site visits, and partner with field leadership. Skills & Competencies Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws and HR best practices. Demonstrated ability to build trusted relationships and influence leaders at all levels of the organization. Excellent employee relations, conflict resolution, and workplace investigation skills. High level of professionalism, integrity, and discretion when handling confidential information. Salary Range $90,000 - $115,000, depending on position qualifications, job related skills and experience, education, certifications, and geographic location.
