Job Description

Overview Directed and supervised by the General Manager or Operations Manager, the Workforce Supervisor is responsible for actively supervising, coaching, and developing production staff to ensure optimal performance and adherence to standards Responsibilities Maintains a visible presence on the production floor to monitor performance, address issues promptly, and reinforce safety and quality standards. Implements structured feedback processes, conducts regular check-ins, and ensures corrective actions are taken when necessary. Identifies skill gaps and provides targeted training opportunities to build a high-performing team. Handles interpersonal and operational conflicts professionally to maintain a positive and productive work enviornment. Promotes teamwork, morale, and accountability through clear communication and recognition of achievments. Provides strong leadership and direct supervision to production staff, ensuring clarity of roles, accountability, and consistent performance. Onboards, trains, mentors, and evaluates designated staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth. Ensures all designated staff are trained and up to date in required VARC safety programs and on-the-job training experiences and proper documentation is maintained Adheres to VARC's Safety Program and OSHA Regulations. Adheres to VARC's Quality Management System to assure that all customer specifications achieve superior quality and reliability. Responsible for job order documentation, which may include job order creation, production builds, quality assurance, and packing slips/sales orders. Acts as a liaison with other departments within VARC to ensure operational efficacy, as directed. Attend workshops and conferences as requested May serve as representative on assigned committees or focus groups Accepts other duties as assigned. Essential Skills At least 2 years of related work experience, including quality control, production setup, and direct supervision of employees in a manufacturing environment or related field. Effective written and verbal communication skills. Strong leadership and decision-making skills for problem solving and supervisory responsibilities.
