Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Human Resources Manager to lead our HR initiatives and foster a thriving, compliant, and engaged workforce. In this pivotal role, you will oversee all facets of human resources management, including talent acquisition, employee relations, benefits administration, and compliance. Duties Recruiting and hiring — Full-cycle recruiting for production, installation, delivery, and office positions, including postings, sourcing, screening, interviews, offers, and pre-employment steps. Onboarding and training — Onboarding from offer acceptance through the first review, new hire orientation, and company training programs and certification records. Payroll hours verification — Verify all regular, overtime, vacation, sick, and holiday hours for every team member before each bi-weekly payroll is submitted to our outside payroll provider, on time and at 100% accuracy. Benefits and ACA reporting — Administer health, dental, vision, life, disability, and 401(k) programs and leaves of absence, and own ACA reporting, including Forms 1094-C and 1095-C. Safety — Own our safety program in full: written programs, training, safety meetings and action items, inspections, incident investigation, OSHA recordkeeping, and worker's compensation, at every location and job site. Team member relations — Serve as a trusted resource for team members and leaders, conduct investigations, coach leaders through performance and discipline, and handle separations. Performance reviews — Track and complete 90-day, six-month, and annual reviews on time and with the correct paperwork. Policies, compliance, and records — Maintain the employee handbook and HR policies, comply with federal and Wisconsin employment law, and keep personnel, I-9, medical, and training records complete and secure. Culture and engagement — Company events, recognition, team member feedback, and retention. Systems and reporting — Document HR processes with written checklists, improve our systems, and report HR and safety results to the President each month. Skills and Qualifications Required Three or more years of human resources experience in a manufacturing environment. Proven full-cycle recruiting experience for hourly production and skilled trade positions. Hands-on experience verifying payroll hours, including overtime and paid time off. Experience owning or leading a workplace safety program, including OSHA compliance and recordkeeping, incident investigation, safety training, and worker's compensation claims. Working knowledge of benefits administration and ACA employer reporting, and of federal and Wisconsin employment law, including wage and hour, FMLA, ADA, EEO, I-9, and COBRA. Demonstrated accuracy with data and detail, and strong skills in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook. A proven record of maintaining strict confidentiality. Self-motivated and self-directed, able to plan a week and work without daily supervision. Valid driver's license and the ability to travel between company locations and to job sites. OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 General Industry certification. Experience with, applicant tracking, and Indeed. Experience in woodworking, cabinetry, construction, or another skilled trades environment. Education and Experience A bachelor's degree in human resources management, business administration, organizational leadership, industrial or labor relations, or management is preferred. An equivalent combination of education and human resources experience will be considered. HR certification (SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR) is strongly preferred.
