Job Description

Quarra Stone Company is seeking a Human Resources Manager to join our Team!
About Quarra Stone Company:
Quarra Stone Company doesn't fit neatly into one category — and that's exactly the point. We are a complex fabrication company operating in spaces found between architecture, fine art, fashion, and design. Let us be clear — whether you are a carver, a project manager, an accountant or in human resources, we see you as a craftsperson. Our passion for the world of craftsmanship turns natural stone into works of art, built to outlast us all. It takes every team member sharing in our collective ethos, doing their part, to make it real. Founded in 1989 with just six people, we've grown into a team of sixty artisans, technicians, and craftspeople working out of our facility in Sun Prairie, Wisconsin. Inside our shop, high-tech robotic milling and 3D scanning work alongside diamond blades, hand chisels, and techniques passed down for generations. Our work has shaped some of the country's most significant spaces — from the U.S. Capitol Visitor Center and the Obama Presidential Center to museum sculpture now in the permanent collection of the Metropolitan Museum of Art. We recently acquired Quarra Italia - Franco Cervietti Studio, based in Pietrasanta, Italy — the historic heart of marble sculpture, worked by artisans since the era of Michelangelo. That partnership joins our advanced digital fabrication capability in Wisconsin with centuries of hand-carving mastery in Tuscany, extending our reach across the Atlantic and beyond. What unites everyone at Quarra is passion — passion for the work itself, and for the lasting impact of building something in natural stone. Few materials carry the weight of permanence the way stone does, and few crafts ask for as much precision, patience, and care. What we do comes with high expectations, it is not easy, and that is exactly how we want it. At Quarra, we say yes to the novel, yes to the difficult, yes to the unknown. Our people don't come from one mold. Sculptors work beside robotics technicians. Architects and engineers collaborate with hand-carvers trained in centuries-old Tuscan tradition. Stone consultants, 3D-scanning specialists, and fine artists all have a seat at the same table. It's this range of backgrounds and interdisciplinary skill sets - technical, artistic, and everything in between — that lets us take on work most fabricators can't. Our staff come from very talented backgrounds, and we look to hire the best candidates the world can provide, to every role. We expect people to arrive at Quarra with a preexisting drive and passion of their own — across a team as diverse as ours, that passion comes from many different places. What we ask is that it be applied to what we do here, and we've found it only grows as new staff come to understand how what Quarra does makes us unique in the world. If you're drawn to work that lives at the intersection of craft, art, and engineering, that will still be standing long after we are, we'd like to meet you.
