Chart Industries Ensuring Chart's Success… The Senior Human Resources Generalist will provide effective and consistent delivery of human resources services and initiatives. The ideal candidate will be a highly motivated individual with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. This individual will build collaborative relationships and provide guidance and coaching to managers, and employees, while ensuring alignment with Chart's mission, vision and values. The successful HR Generalist will be a nimble learner with the ability to apply strong problem-solving and sound judgement skills. What Will You Do? Partner with managers and supervisors to understand business goals and challenges, evaluate and help address systemic issues Source, recruit, screen and interview candidates to fill organizational roles and assist with the development and implementation of workforce planning activities Collaborate with hiring managers to create an exceptional new hire onboarding experience Research and resolve employee relations issues, including conducting internal investigations, employee disciplinary action, etc. Coach management in the areas of conflict resolution, employee performance, policy interpretation, etc. Collaborate with HR professionals and management at the Theodore 2 site and across the organization to leverage existing practices as well as identify and implement HR process improvements Ensure compliance with all state and federal laws and regulations pertaining to Human Resources matters Champion HR initiatives in support of an employee-focused culture with an emphasis on quality, key employee retention, change management and continuous improvement Provides weekly staffing updates to management Coordinate open enrollments, changes, and training for employee benefits programs Other duties as assigned Create and distribute internal communications regarding status changes, benefits, or company policies Assist in administering benefits, compensation, and employee performance programs Ensure compliance with local and national regulations and applicable employment laws, and update policies and procedures when necessary Your Physical Work Environment Will Require… Lift up to 15 pounds Sitting, standing, stooping, bending, other related tasks in an office setting Ability to frequently navigate the manufacturing shop floor to meet with and support employees Your Experience Should Be… Minimum of 4 years of HR generalist experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment. Previous experience must include recruiting, employee relations, and basic knowledge of both federal and state employment laws. Must be highly collaborative with a "partnership" mindset, able to collaborate and build trusting relationships across all levels of the organization. This role requires listening with patience and neutrality, using own judgment to determine degree of urgency and appropriate escalation. Demonstrated ability to use research methods effectively, including data collection, diagnostic, and analytical skills. Experience working with HR management systems, SAP a plus Previous benefits administration and managing recognition programs is desirable.
