Job Description
Clean Harbors is seeking a safety-focused Driver Class A / Equipment Operator to support our Environmental Services operations within the Transportation & Logistics team. In this role, you will operate Class A tractor-trailers, vacuum trucks, and heavy equipment to transport hazardous and non hazardous waste to approved facilities. Responsibilities include performing pre/post trip inspections, adhering to DOT and EPA regulations, safely loading/unloading materials, completing manifests and logs, and responding to field service and emergency projects. You'll work closely with dispatch and field crews to deliver reliable, compliant, and environmentally responsible service. Responsibilities Operate Class A commercial vehicles to transport hazardous and non-hazardous waste safely and efficiently Operate vacuum trucks and related heavy equipment for environmental service projects Perform thorough pre- and post-trip inspections and routine maintenance checks Follow all DOT, EPA, and company safety policies and procedures at all times Safely load, secure, and unload materials using appropriate equipment and PPEComplete required manifests, logs, and trip documentation accurately and on time Coordinate with dispatch and project managers to meet schedules and customer needs Assist field crews with onsite cleanup, waste collection, and emergency response as needed Participate in safety meetings, training, and drills to maintain readiness Maintain a professional, customer-focused attitude while representing Clean Harbors on client sites Required Skills Class A CDL truck driving Equipment operation (vacuum trucks, loaders, etc.) DOT regulations and compliance Hazardous waste handling and transport EPA/RCRA and environmental compliance basics Defensive driving and safety procedures Load securement and material handling Pre/post-trip vehicle inspection Basic mechanical/maintenance checks Documentation, manifests, and electronic logs
