We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated HR Generalist/Recruiter to join our team.
Position Summary:
Under administrative direction of the HR Manager, performs duties at the professional level and provides support in the following functional areas: full cycle recruiting/talent acquisition, new hire input in ADP, onboarding, regulatory compliance, back-up to HR Assistant and receptionist duties; performs related duties as required. Essential Functions and Responsibilities 1. Partners with employees and management to communicate various human resources policies, procedures, and standards. 2. Responsible for full cycle recruiting/talent acquisition to include: obtaining required job requisitions, reviews, screens and recruits applicants to fill entry-level, professional and technical job openings utilizing a mixed approach of advertising, social media, job boards, job fairs and regularly scheduled visits with sources for effectiveness. Strategizes with HR Manager to maintain effective talent acquisition process. Ensure all pre-hire requirements are met: drug testing, motor vehicle record, employment verification and reference checks. Ensures all post-hire requirements are met: I-9 and E-Verify. 3. Responsible for the onboarding process to ensure new hires are welcomed, oriented and aware of OakCraft in a positive and motivating manner. 4. Responsible for the input of all new hire information into the ADP payroll system. 5. Performs analytics and reporting as required, to include, but not limited to: turnover, new hires, other ad hoc reports and queries. Maintains HR recruiting and attrition portion of Dashboard and ensures all information is up-to-date and accurate. 6. Administration and maintenance of the Department of Transportation physicals compliance program, ensuring ongoing compliance by identifying and scheduling timing for physicals. 7. Assists and acts as back up in the documentation of workplace injuries, to include detailed investigation reports, sending injured employees to the appropriate treatment facility, ensuring timely communication with HR Manager. 8. Responsible for backup receptionist duties, covering lunch, PTO or other coverage reason, ensuring excellent customer service and welcoming presence is displayed. 9. Responsible for assistance in the completion of Open Enrollment, special projects, utilizing creativity and initiative. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Requirements 1. Knowledge of human resources principles and best-practices. 2. Knowledge of recruitment best practices. 3. Ability to speak, read and interpret English to Spanish. 4. Ability to show initiative and proactively seek out special projects, not waiting to be told. 5. Ability to show creativity and innovation in communication and special projects. 6. Ability to work effectively with others and to communicate effectively, orally and in writing. 7. Ability to maintain highly sensitive and confidential information. 8. Ability to work under pressure and address events/crises which may develop unexpectedly. 9. Ability to multi-task, work with multiple priorities and interruptions. 10. Advanced Microsoft Office experience and ability. 11. Knowledge of computer software appropriate to the assignment, such as Word, Excel and Job Boards. 12. Ability to analyze and interpret statistical information. 13. Ability to work effectively with others. 14. Ability to work under stringent deadlines and handle issues which develop unexpectedly. 15. Skill in the operation of a personal computer. Education/License/Certification/Experience Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or High School Diploma and 2 year of professional experience in a full cycle recruiting; or any equivalent combination of education, training or experience.
  • Professional HR experience in a manufacturing setting, preferred;
  • Bilingual with ability to speak, read, write and interpret English to Spanish, required.
  • Prehire drug testing required.
