Job Summary We are seeking a Bilingual Spanish HR Generalist for a Temp-to-Hire opportunity in Van Nuys, CA. This role is ideal for a hands-on Human Resources professional who enjoys supporting employees, partnering with managers, and keeping HR operations running smoothly in a fast-paced business environment. The HR Generalist will support a well-established company in the beauty industry and will play an important role in people operations, including payroll, benefits administration, recruiting, onboarding, employee relations, compliance, and HRIS processing. This position is expected to support a maternity leave coverage need for approximately 5 to 7 months, with temp-to-hire potential. Key Responsibilities
- Administer day-to-day HR operations, including employee records, payroll support, benefits administration, onboarding, compliance, and employee relations.
- Process bi-weekly payroll through ADP for 100+ employees while ensuring accuracy, confidentiality, and compliance.
- Manage new hire administration, HRIS updates, wage changes, employment verifications, garnishments, W-4 updates, promotions, terminations, and related employee transactions.
- Conduct onboarding for new team members, verify I-9 documentation, complete E-Verify processing, and maintain required personnel and compliance files.
- Support recruiting, talent acquisition, employee retention, safety, policy administration, and risk management activities.
- Maintain mandatory workplace postings, personnel files, confidential files, training records, and I-9 files in accordance with federal, state, and local requirements. Compensation and Benefits
- $35.00 to $37.00 per hour.

- Conduct onboarding, I-9 verification, E-Verify processing, and employee file maintenance.
- Assist with recruiting, employee relations, retention, compliance, and HR policy administration.
- Partner with employees and managers to support a positive, team-oriented workplace culture.
- Must be bilingual in Spanish and English.
- 3 to 5 years of Human Resources experience required, with a broad HR generalist background.
- Experience with payroll, benefits, talent acquisition, employee relations, compliance, and personnel administration.
- Experience processing payroll through ADP, preferably for 100+ employees.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Experience with Google Docs, Google Sheets, Slack, ADP, and HRIS systems.
- Strong understanding of HR policies, payroll practices, benefits administration, and employment compliance.
- Ability to manage confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills across diverse employee groups.
- Highly organized self-starter with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks, projects, and deadlines.
- Collaborative problem solver with a positive attitude and the ability to work across teams and functions.
- Associate degree or higher preferred. Preferred Qualifications
- HR certification preferred.
- 3+ years of experience in manufacturing and e-commerce environments preferred.
- 2+ years of experience in the beauty or personal care industry preferred.
- Technology-driven mindset with an interest in using systems and tools to improve HR efficiency.
- Experience supporting employee engagement, teamwork, and positive workplace culture initiatives.
