Job Summary Job Summary The Assistant Superintendent, Human Resources shall plan, organize, and direct a comprehensive human resources program, including recruitment, selection, classification, wage and salary administration, employee relations, and collective bargaining. The Assistant Superintendent, Human Resources shall provide overall direction to Human Resources staff to coordinate, monitor, and review programs to ensure compliance with state and federal legal mandates, regulations, and guidelines. Under general administrative direction, the Assistant Superintendent, Human Resources makes decisions of highly critical consequence involving sensitive and political education issues. Under the direction of the Superintendent, the Assistant Superintendent, Human Resources works collaboratively with other members of the Executive Cabinet to support the District's vision for all staff. The Assistant Superintendent, Human Resources meets frequently with the NLMUSD Board of Education, the Superintendent, and other staff. The Assistant Superintendent, Human Resources will serve as the advisor to the Superintendent regarding employee and labor relations matters.
