Job Description

Vienna Tile & Stone is seeking an experienced, detail-oriented, and approachable HR Generalist to support the day-to-day employee lifecycle for both office personnel and skilled field tradespeople, including Installers, Setters, Fabricators, and Helpers. The ideal candidate is solutions-focused and able to apply employment requirements in a practical business environment while treating employees with professionalism, respect, and consistency. This role is well suited for someone who is committed to doing HR the right way while balancing compliance, business needs, and positive employee experience. The HR Generalist will help ensure that HR processes are consistent, well-documented, employee-focused, and aligned with applicable federal, state, and local requirements. Essential Responsibilities include but are not limited to: California HR & Wage-and-Hour, Compliance, Onboarding & Offboarding, Payroll Administration & Timekeeping, Benefits & Leave Administration, Safety & Workers' Compensation, Employee Relations, and Recruiting. Qualifications & Experience At least 5 years of experience in HR administration, HR coordination, or a generalist-level HR role. Conversationally fluent in English and Spanish Experience in construction, specialty trades, manufacturing, or another field-based workforce environment is preferred. Strong working knowledge of California employment laws and HR practices. Experience with HRIS platforms, applicant tracking systems (ATS), and digital timekeeping applications. Experience supporting benefits administration, employee leave processes, recruiting, employee relations, and workers' compensation. Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail. Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment when handling sensitive employee information. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work effectively with employees and managers at all levels, including both office and field-based employees. Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities and work independently while maintaining accuracy.
Pay:
$80,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
