Job Description

Hinterland Group in Riviera Beach is currently hiring a Human Resources Generalist to join our current HR Team. Job Summary Manage daily human resources operations for both office and field personnel, balancing talent acquisition, employee relations, and strict multi state/federal compliance. The Human Resources Generalist supports the full employee lifecycle, ensuring alignment between workforce operations and company goals. This hands-on role handles recruitment, onboarding, benefits administration, worker safety compliance, and employee relations for a mobile and diverse construction workforce.
Key Responsibilities Talent Acquisition & Onboarding:
Source, screen, and interview candidates for administrative, project management, and field-level roles. Manage seamless onboarding, including E-Verify, Form I-9 verification, and orientations.
Compliance & Risk Management:
Maintain compliance with Florida and federal labor regulations, OSHA safety standards, and workers' compensation protocols. Oversee managing documentation for audits and safety records.
Employee & Labor Relations:
Guide field supervisors and project managers through performance management, conflict resolution, grievances, and disciplinary actions.
Benefits & Payroll Support:
Coordinate health, dental, and 401(k) benefit enrollments, reconcile monthly statements, and assist with payroll processing and HRIS data upkeep.
Qualifications & Requirements Education:
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
Experience:
3 to 5 years of progressive HR experience, ideally within construction, manufacturing, or field-service industries.
Knowledge:
Strong grasp of employment laws, E-Verify, worker safety, and HRIS platforms.
Skills:
Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and bilingual (English/Spanish) communication abilities are a strong plus.
Certifications:
PHR, SHRM-CP, or
SHRM-SCP
is preferred. Compensation will be based on knowledge and experience.

Pay:
$70,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
