Compensation Details:
$55,000 - $60,000 The position is open to all applicants that meet the minimum qualifications below. The Technical College System of Georgia (TCSG) is seeking highly qualified applicants for their full-time Workforce Data Analytics Specialist position in the Office of Workforce Development. The Workforce Data Analytics Specialist supports data-driven decision-making by ensuring data quality, analyzing workforce performance, and developing reports and dashboards that provide actionable insights. This position collaborates with leadership and program teams to identify trends, support federal and state reporting requirements, and communicate key findings through clear, effective data visualizations and presentations. This position is located at the TCSG System Office in Atlanta at 1800 Century Place, Atlanta, GA 30345.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Data Governance & Performance Analytics Establish and maintain data governance procedures to ensure the accuracy, consistency, and integrity of performance data across multiple workforce systems. Monitor data quality and improve data collection and validation processes to strengthen reporting accuracy and reliability. Develop and maintain reports, dashboards, and data summaries using Microsoft Excel, Tableau, and other analytical tools to support performance monitoring and decision-making. Analyze workforce and program data to identify trends, patterns, performance gaps, and opportunities for improvement. Manage the end-to-end lifecycle of departmental data requests, including request intake, prioritization, resource coordination, deliverable tracking, and stakeholder communication. Reporting, Insights & Stakeholder Support Support the preparation and validation of federal and state workforce program reporting, including apprenticeship and WIOA-related reporting requirements. Partner with leadership, support, and operational teams to understand performance needs and deliver tailored analytical solutions and insights. Translate complex data and analytical findings into clear, actionable insights for leadership, program staff, and external partners. Communicate performance trends and key findings through data visualization, visual storytelling, presentations, and other audience-appropriate formats.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in analytics, data science, statistics, information systems, computer science, economics, education, business, public administration, public policy, workforce development, or a related field and two years of relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Strong knowledge of performance measurement, data analysis, and statistical methods. Proficiency in data visualization tools, such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar platforms. Strong ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and senior leadership. Knowledge of Workforce Innovation & Opportunity Act (WIOA) and U.S. Department of Labor Registered Apprenticeship Programs. Knowledge of state and federal workforce data sources, particularly those published by the Georgia Department of Labor, U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, and U.S. Census Bureau.
Minimum Qualifications:
High School Diploma/GED and six (6) years experience across IT functions.
