Human Resources Generalist (Construction / Trades Focus) We are seeking a hands-on, high-accountability Human Resources Generalist to support a growing steel fabrication and erection company. This role requires someone who is organized, proactive, and comfortable working directly with both office staff and field crews. This is not a passive HR role — we need someone who can own processes, maintain structure, and support leadership with clear, consistent execution.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead recruiting efforts for skilled trades, laborers, and office roles Manage onboarding, orientation, and documentation Maintain accurate employee records and compliance documentation Oversee timekeeping and attendance tracking Administer benefits, including health insurance and 401(k) Process and maintain 401(k) contributions Support certified payroll and prevailing wage compliance Proficient with workers' compensation claims and return-to-work coordination Help enforce policies and support supervisors with employee relations Ensure compliance with labor laws

What We're Looking For:

3+years of HR experience, construction or trades a plus Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities Self-starter who takes initiative Confident communicator with field and office teams Experience with employee relations, workers' comp, and prevailing wage Comfortable in a fast-paced, high-accountability environment
