Job Description
We are looking for a bilingual Human Resources Generalist to support a broad range of HR operations for a diverse workforce in New Jersey. This Long-term Contract position focuses on recruiting, employee support, compliance, payroll coordination, benefits administration, and training efforts. The ideal candidate brings strong interpersonal skills, sound judgment, and the ability to communicate clearly in both English and Spanish while helping maintain an inclusive and well-organized workplace.
Responsibilities:
- Provide bilingual HR support by interpreting policies, employment documents, and workplace communications so employees clearly understand key information and available support.
- Manage recruitment and onboarding activities from job posting through onboarding, including candidate screening, interview coordination, recruitment event participation, and orientation support in English and Spanish.
- Respond to employee questions, guide staff and managers through workplace concerns, and help address performance-related issues and employee relations matters professionally.
- Administer benefits-related processes, assist with claims and enrollment questions, and maintain complete and accurate personnel documentation within HR systems.
- Perform administrative support duties such as coordinating travel arrangements, managing calendars, and preparing expense documentation as needed.
- Update payroll and timekeeping information, process bi-weekly payroll activities, and communicate necessary corrections or adjustments to leadership and payroll partners.
- Coordinate pre-employment screening activities, including background verification and reference checks, to support compliant recruitment practices.
- Organize training programs, monitor participation and completion, work with managers on development needs, and help evaluate learning effectiveness and skill-building opportunities.
- Support employee engagement and talent initiatives that strengthen workplace culture, productivity, and overall employee experience.
- Maintain driver compliance files and other policy-related records while assisting with additional HR projects and operational needs as assigned.
