Job Description

Job Summary:
The HR Generalist reports to the Senior HR Manager and serves as a primary point of contact for key Human Resources functions, including bi-weekly payroll, recruitment, onboarding, benefits administration, and general HR administrative support.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Payroll:
manages payroll processing through ADP Workforce, including regular and special payroll runs / prepares off cycle checks as needed; works closely with supervisors and team leads to ensure timecards are accurately processed. Ensure all new hires are set-up appropriately and positioned in correct departments etc. Responds timely to employment verification requests, and unemployment claims. Benefit Administration supports new hire and annual open enrollments, responds to employee benefit inquiries, processes terminations (as requested) ensuring appropriate vacation payouts are managed effectively, and benefit carrier enrollments are terminated. Works closely with location contact to appropriately schedule employee dental services adhering to CD Employee Dental Program policy.
Recruitment:
manages full cycle recruitment including posting, pre-screens, interview schedules etc., obtains feedback and ensures new hires are appropriately on board. Ensure federal, state, and local employment laws are adhered to while supporting a positive candidate experience.
On boarding:
Supports new hires with pre-employment activities and conducts New Hire Orientations.
Compliance:
Ensures all locations have appropriate Massachusetts s employment posters, conducts audits, prepares reports for regulatory requirements.
HR Systems & Reporting:
maintains accurate employee records, and generates reports for workforce planning, HR analytics, and compliance purposes.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor s Degree preferred or equivalent work experience required. 2+ years of HRG experience that includes processing payroll; ideally ADP Workforce. Must have at least 1-2 years of experience recruiting exempt and non-exempt positions. At least one year of experience with an HRIS is required. SHRM-CP or HR Certification highly preferred.
Required Skills/Abilities:
Strong attention to detail, with the ability to identify, question, and resolve information that appears inaccurate or inconsistent. Excellent verbal, written, interpersonal and customer service skills. Strong organizational and time management skills. Capability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Must be able to lift to 15 pounds as needed.
