Job Description
Youth On The Move Inc. , a transportation provider serving children, individuals with disabilities, and elderly populations throughout Western Massachusetts, is seeking a detail-oriented Human Resources Recruiter / Generalist to manage full-cycle recruitment and support HR operations in a regulated environment. This position plays a critical role in ensuring all employees meet compliance requirements prior to assignment and that recruitment practices align with Massachusetts employment law and company standards
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Recruitment & Hiring Post approved openings within 24 hours Screen resumes and conduct structured interviews Coordinate interviews with hiring managers Track recruitment metrics (time-to-fill, applicant pipeline) Maintain accurate applicant tracking documentation Pre-Employment Compliance Complete I-9 verification within federal timelines Initiate and trackCORI / SORI
background checks Verify RMV driver eligibility Coordinate physical examinations and drug screenings Ensure 100% clearance before employee assignment Onboarding & HR Support Conduct new hire orientation Prepare offer letters and onboarding documents Issue and track company property (ID badges, uniforms, access credentials) Assist with disciplinary documentation and employee relations matters Maintain audit-ready personnel filesPERFORMANCE EXPECTATIONS
Driver / Monitor roles filled with 21 days Administrative roles filled within 30 days 100% pre-employment compliance prior to assignment I-9 completion within 3 business days Minimum 85% 30-day retention rate Monthly recruitment report submitted on timeQUALIFICATIONS 2-5
years HR or recruiting experience Strong knowledge of employment law Experience in transportation, healthcare, or regulated industries preferred Excellent organizational and documentation skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel and Word required) SHRM-CP or PHR certification preferredEQUAL EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY
