Job Description
PRIMARY PURPOSE OF THE JOB
This position is responsible for General Accounting and Human Resources issues including general ledger entries, H/R policies, employee training, banking and payroll. This also includes promoting a positive, safe and friendly work environment while addressing the needs of management and personnel.ESSENTIAL DUTIES
1. Administer benefit programs such as life, health, dental, STD, tuition reimbursement, and retirement plans. 2.Maintain employee records such as:
hires, performance reviews, attendance and terminations. 3. Administer the Employee Performance Review program to ensure its effectiveness, compliance and it's consistency of application. 4. Conduct recruiting, interviewing, hiring, terminations, etc. 5. Monitor the legal requirements and government reporting regulations effecting human resources apnd ensure that policies, procedures and reporting are in compliance. 6. Administer the employee handbook and update as needed the related policies and procedures. 7. Assist management in the resolution of employee-relations issues. 8. Ensure that all MIOSHA and safety related issues are handled and documented as per required by MIOSHA and company insurance carriers. 9. Prepare monthly reports for management regarding the status of human resources in the company. 10. Administer payroll functions by processing payroll using an outside service. 11. Banking responsibilities including reconciliations 12. Accounting general journal entries and account analysis. 13. Conduct wage and salary surveys within the labor market to determine competitive wage rates. 14. Monitor ongoing training needs including the development and implementation of training programs. 15. Conduct safety meetings and assist in MIOSHA inspections. 16. Personal property tax returns preparation and filing.REQUIRED ABILITIES
