Job Description
Job Title:
Human Resources GeneralistJob Description The Human Resources Generalist will leverage their solid experience with HR procedures to efficiently manage various administrative tasks. Serving as the first point of contact for HR-related queries from both employees and external partners, the HR Generalist will implement human resources programs, including recruiting and staffing, compensation and benefits administration, training and development, employee relations, and ensuring compliance with affirmative action/equal employment opportunity and applicable labor laws. Responsibilities
+ Process bi-weekly payroll, ensuring accurate calculations from various timekeeping schedules.
+ Manage the administration of employee benefit programs, including health, dental, life, and 401(k).
+ Conduct biweekly 401(k) funding and monthly benefits bill reconciliation.
+ Handle Worker's Compensation claims, including filing and follow-up.
+ Assist with data gathering for special projects such as budget processes and corporate reporting.
+ Manage annual open enrollment and administer the annual performance review process.
+ Conduct new hire orientation and onboarding.
+ Facilitate employee relations and recruitment.
+ Provide guidance on HR processes and policies to managers and employees. Essential Skills
+ Minimum 3-4 years of experience in Human Resources and Payroll.
+ Proficiency in recruiting and knowledge of labor laws.
+ Strong communication skills and experience in a manufacturing environment.
+ Strong skills in Excel, including pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, and formulas.
+ Experience in payroll processing, preferably using ADP Workforce Now. Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience in the manufacturing industry is a must.
+ PHR or SHRM certification is preferred.
+ Full cycle recruitment experience, including sourcing and screening candidates, is a plus. Work Environment This role is fully onsite, Monday through Friday, from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with a 30-minute lunch break. The first week of training will take place in Chicago. During the first year, there will be meetings in Chicago every two months for 2 to 3 days. After the first year, meetings will occur once a quarter. The HR Generalist will spend 60% of their time supporting Prima Power Laserdyne and 40% supporting Prima Power North America. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Minneapolis, MN. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $75000.00 - $82000.00/yr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
