Division of Education % time and months of employment: Varied Position reports to: Michelle Page, Education Division Chair Purpose of the position The University of Minnesota, Morris Division of Education may need Lecturers/Assistant Professors or Teaching Specialists to teach on a short-term and/or temporary basis during the academic year. Job duties The primary responsibility will be teaching undergraduate courses and/or supervising teacher candidates in their clinical experiences. Some service and research activity may be expected. The employer reserves the right to modify, change or add to the duties of this position, consistent with the classification description, at any time. Qualifications Essential/Preferred knowledge, skills and abilities: Ph.D. or terminal degree for Lecturer/Assistant Professor; MA/MS or BA/BS for Teaching Specialists, masters preferred. Candidate must have academic preparation appropriate to the specialized teaching field. Though clear emphasis is on successful teaching, consideration will be given to scholarly attainment or other professional recognition or distinction in the teaching field.
Pay and Benefits Pay Range:
$41,000 - $60,000 annual full-time equivalent; depending on education/qualifications/experience. While our salary ranges provide a framework, it is important to note that most of the time, the initial pay may not reach the maximum of the range. This approach ensures that compensation reflects the value and unique contributions of each candidate while maintaining equity within our organization.
