Job Description

Experienced Human Resources Generalist Cherry Hill, NJ | Full-Time | Exempt | $68,000-$80,000 annually Are you an experienced HR professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys solving complex employee issues? Do you have strong expertise in leave of absence administration and workers' compensation, along with the judgment and urgency needed to manage sensitive matters independently? First Children Services is seeking an experienced Human Resources Generalist to join our growing HR team. This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned HR professional who can balance compliance, employee support, and business needs while making a meaningful impact across a multi-site organization. What You'll Do Lead all aspects of leave of absence administration, including FMLA, ADA, NJFLA, paid family leave, and disability Manage workers' compensation claims from initial report through return to work Handle employee relations matters, investigations, disciplinary actions, and performance management Provide timely and practical HR guidance to employees and managers Ensure compliance with employment laws and company policies Support audits, reporting, and HR process improvements What We're Looking For 5+ years of progressive HR experience Significant hands-on experience with leave administration and workers' compensation Strong knowledge of federal and state (NJ & PA) employment laws Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills Ability to work independently with a strong sense of urgency and sound judgment HR certification (SHRM or HRCI) is a plus Experience with ADP Workforce Now preferred Why Join First Children Services?
