Job Description

Position Summary The HR Generalist is responsible for supporting and managing the day-to-day Human Resources functions for the organization. This role serves as the primary point of contact for employee onboarding, training coordination, employee relations, policy compliance, record maintenance, and employee separation processes. The HR Generalist plays a critical role in ensuring consistent execution of company policies, legal compliance, and a positive employee experience across all locations. This position requires a highly organized, confidential, and detail-oriented individual capable of managing multiple priorities while maintaining professionalism and consistency in employee matters. Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesEmployee Onboarding & ADP Workforce Now Administration Manage the full onboarding process for all new hires using ADP Workforce Now . Coordinate and issue onboarding documentation, employment forms, tax documents, direct deposit setup, and policy acknowledgments. Ensure all required onboarding steps are completed before employees begin work, including: ADP registration and onboarding completion Policy review and acknowledgments Employment documentation verification Badge assignment coordination (if applicable) Maintain accurate employee profiles and records in ADP. Coordinate onboarding appointments and communicate next steps to new hires and management. Employee Training Coordination & Compliance Schedule and coordinate required employee training programs, including onboarding and compliance training. Assign, monitor, and track employee completion of training modules through company systems. Follow up with employees and managers regarding overdue or incomplete training requirements. Maintain accurate records of all completed trainings and certifications. Ensure compliance with company, state, and federal training requirements. Employee Relations & Workplace Support Serve as the first point of contact for employee concerns, workplace complaints, and HR-related questions. Investigate employee concerns and complaints in a professional, confidential, and impartial manner. Partner with management to address employee performance, conduct, attendance, and workplace issues. Support conflict resolution and help foster a respectful and professional work environment. Maintain confidentiality regarding sensitive employee matters. Employee Terminations & Resignations Manage all employee separations, including voluntary resignations and involuntary terminations. Coordinate and process termination documentation and system updates in ADP. Ensure all resignation and termination paperwork is completed accurately and timely. Conduct and document exit interviews. Coordinate deactivation of employee access, badges, and system permissions. Ensure compliance with internal SOPs, final payroll requirements, and applicable labor laws. HR Records Management & Compliance Maintain accurate and organized employee personnel files, both electronic and physical. Ensure all employee records are complete, compliant, and audit-ready. Track personnel changes, disciplinary actions, acknowledgments, and employment documentation. Maintain documentation related to employee complaints, investigations, training, and corrective actions. Assist with unemployment claims, employment verifications, and HR reporting as needed. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and company employment policies and procedures. Policy Administration Communicate company policies and procedures to employees. Monitor employee policy acknowledgment completion and follow up as necessary. Assist with policy implementation and updates. Promote consistency in policy enforcement across all locations. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred. Minimum 2-5 years of Human Resources experience , preferably in a multi-location or retail environment. Experience with ADP Workforce Now strongly preferred. Knowledge of employee onboarding, employee relations, investigations, and separation procedures. Understanding of federal and state employment laws and HR best practices. Strong organizational and documentation skills with high attention to detail. Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong problem-solving and conflict-resolution abilities. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Required Skills Proficiency in ADP Workforce Now Microsoft Office Suite ( Excel, Word, Outlook ) Strong recordkeeping and documentation skills Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities Strong organizational skills with attention to detail Time management and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Strong problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills Ability to maintain professionalism and confidentiality in sensitive situations Bilingual in English and Spanish (required) with the ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing with a diverse workforce Work Environment In Person Office-based role with regular communication with store-level management and employees across multiple locations. Occasional travel to store locations may be required. Ability to respond to urgent employee matters when necessary. Key Performance Expectations Timely and compliant onboarding of all new hires. Accurate tracking and completion of employee training. Prompt and professional handling of employee relations matters. Complete and organized employee records. Timely processing of resignations and terminations. Consistent adherence to HR policies and legal compliance.
