Job Description We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Bilingual HR Generalist in Secaucus, NJ. Are you fluent in Spanish and English ? Do you have 1-3 years experience in human resources or HR Administration in a fast paced environment? If yes, read on! Our client is premier food, alcohol beverage, and restaurant supply specialist and they are looking for a HR Generalist in Secaucus, NJ.
The HR Generalist supports the day-to-day operations of the Human Resources department and provides assistance to employees and management throughout the employee lifecycle. This position is responsible for supporting recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, benefits administration, payroll and timekeeping, compliance, training, and HR recordkeeping. The HR Generalist serves as a resource for employees and managers while helping ensure company policies and HR procedures are applied
consistently and in compliance with applicable employment laws. The salary for this role is $50,000 - $55,000 and this is full-time opportunity.
The role:
Support the full recruitment process, including job postings, candidate screening, interview scheduling, reference checks, and preparation of employment offers.
Coordinate new hire onboarding, orientation, employment documentation, and required pre-employment processes
Maintain accurate and confidential employee personnel files and HR records
Process employee changes, including new hires, transfers, promotions, salary changes, and terminations.
Assist employees with questions regarding company policies, benefits, payroll, PTO, and other HR-related matters.
Support benefits administration, including employee enrollments, changes, and communication of benefit information.
Assist with payroll and timekeeping by reviewing employee attendance, PTO, missed punches, and other payroll-related information.
Monitor employee attendance and assist management with addressing attendance or performance concerns.
Support employee relations matters, including coaching, disciplinary actions, workplace concerns, and investigations.
Prepare disciplinary notices, coaching documents, employment letters, and other HR documentation as needed.
Coordinate and monitor performance reviews, mandatory training, HR compliance requirements, and departmental deadlines.
Support employee relations, corrective action, leave of absence, return-to-work, and employee offboarding processes.
Administer and track DOT/driver compliance, employee medical and drug testing, workplace injury documentation, and related requirements.
Provide support for employee benefits, union administration, payroll-related HR changes, and Open Enrollment activities.
Maintain HR compliance records and assist with internal audits, regulatory requirements, SOPs, and process documentation.
Coordinate employee training, engagement initiatives, company events, and HR communications across company locations.
Qualifications:
Fluency in English and Spanish
1-3 years experience in human resources or HR Administration in a fast paced environment
Previous HR, administrative, recruitment or talent acquisition experience
Degree in human resources in proffered
Good attention to details
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with limited structure and direct supervision
Customer-service mindset with strong communication skills
