Job Description
Overview Join our dynamic Human Resources team as a Senior Human Resources Generalist with the Pueblo of Jemez, where you will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing comprehensive HR strategies that foster a thriving, compliant, and engaged workforce. This energetic position offers the opportunity to lead key HR initiatives, support organizational growth, and ensure our practices align with employment laws and industry standards. You will be at the forefront of talent management, employee relations, collaborating with our Tribal Administration and Jemez Health and Human Services (Healthcare) team, and HR systems optimization, driving positive change across the organization. Duties Lead talent acquisition efforts by sourcing, interviewing, and onboarding top candidates through advanced HR sourcing techniques and applicant tracking systems. Oversee and manage employee orientation programs to ensure seamless integration of new hires into the company culture and operational workflows. Oversee employee evaluation processes, including performance management cycles and development planning to promote continuous growth. Develop and implement strategic workforce planning initiatives such as succession planning, organization design, and affirmative action planning to support long-term business objectives. Facilitate HR projects related to change management, HRIS system enhancements (e.g., Oracle HCM or Dayforce), and HR data analysis using Excel for informed decision-making. Handle employee relations issues with professionalism and confidentiality while managing conflict resolution and promoting a positive work environment. This position will be point of contact for all Jemez Health & Human Services employee relations issues. Ensure compliance with employment & labor law, HR legal standards, OSHA regulations, and other applicable policies through diligent regulatory compliance management. Experience Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field and minimum of five (5) years of direct experience in Human Resources within a healthcare environment. In lieu of a bachelor's degree, an additional two (2) years of relevant experience may be substituted. Proven experience in human resources management within a fast-paced environment, demonstrating expertise in employment law, workers' compensation, and personnel administration. Strong background in human capital management strategies including talent acquisition, talent management, performance management, training & development, and succession planning. Demonstrated project management skills with the ability to coordinate multiple initiatives simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail. Proficiency in HR systems such as HRIS platforms (Oracle HCM), Kronos or Dayforce for payroll processing and data entry tasks. Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively handle confidential information and interact professionally across all levels of the organization. Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel data analysis) for reporting purposes; experience with ATS platforms like Lever or Kenexa BrassRing is highly desirable. Knowledge of employment & labor law compliance requirements coupled with experience managing employee relations issues proactively. Pay:
