Job Summary The human resource assistant is responsible for performing HR-related duties on a professional level and works closely with HR management in supporting the needs of employees and department. This position carries out responsibilities in the following functional areas: onboarding, new employee orientation, training, recruitment, employee relations, and employment law compliance. Essential Job Duties- Promote the mission, vision, and values of the organization
- Perform customer service functions for human resources by answering employee requests and questions
- Conduct recruitment effort for all personnel, students and temporary employees
- Conduct pre-employment and onboarding process with new employees, students and contract personnel
- Submit and review employee background investigation and verify discrepancies with HR management
- Verify new hire documentation and ensure records are accurate and current
- Conduct New Employee orientation
- Ensure compliance of employee's licenses and/or credentials as required
- Assist in evaluation of reports, decisions and results of department in relation to established goals. Recommends new approaches, policies and procedures to continually improve efficiency of the department and services performed.
- Maintain human resource information system records and compiles reports from the database.
- Participate in developing department goals, objectives and systems
- Maintain HR personnel files including filing of documentation

- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of one year experience in a related field Professional Requirements

- Work is performed during regular work hours, but will require overtime and/or weekend hours to meet deadlines.
- Work in varying degrees of temperature (heated or air conditioned).
- Work under extreme pressures.
- Position requires sitting for approximately 4-6 hours per day and walking for 2 hours per day.
- Position requires light to moderate work with 50 pounds maximum weight to lift and carry.
- Position requires reaching, bending, stooping, and handling objects with hands and/or fingers, talking and/or hearing, and seeing.
