The Role:
What You'll Do As an HR Specialist/Coordinator, you will be the vital link between our administrative office, our field staff (Home Health Aides/PCAs), and our clients. This is a multi-faceted role focusing on both Human Resources compliance and critical staffing/scheduling coordination.
Onboarding:
Lead new-hire orientation and process all required new-hire paperwork, ensuring complete and compliant employee files.
HR Administration & Compliance:
Maintain accurate personnel records, including compensation, benefits, and training data, in the HRIS/staffing system (e.g., HHA Exchange). Assist with the administration of employee benefits (enrollment, questions) and track compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws. Handle employee inquiries regarding HR policies, payroll, and benefits with confidentiality and professionalism.
Retention & Employee Relations:
Assist in employee retention efforts and provide support for employee relations issues, fostering a positive work environment. May assist in tracking time-and-attendance and coordinating with the payroll department for weekly pre-billing. What We're Looking For (Qualifications) Minimum 1-2 years of experience in an HR, Staffing, or Coordinator role, preferably within the Home Health Care or healthcare industry. Proficiency with HR Information Systems (HRIS) and/or homecare scheduling software (e.g., HHA Exchange or similar). Exceptional organizational skills, a strong ability to multi-task, and meticulous attention to detail. Excellent written and verbal communication skills and a customer service-oriented approach. Ability to work in-office in Spring Valley, NY, and function independently and as a strong team player. Bilingual Creole Required Benefits You'll Receive Competitive annual salary.
