Job Description

Human Resources Generalist On-Site Position (Dayton, Ohio)
Summary/Objective:
High Bar Brands is looking for a skilled and experienced On-Site Human Resources Generalist to join our team in Dayton, Ohio and support our Canfield, Ohio location. This is an excellent opportunity for an HR professional who enjoys being hands-on, building relationships with employees and leaders, and supporting a fast-paced manufacturing environment. As an HR Business Partner, you will serve as a trusted resource for employees and management while supporting day-to-day HR operations, employee relations, recruiting, compliance, training, and leave administration. The ideal candidate is organized, approachable, solutions-oriented, and comfortable working independently while partnering closely with leadership. Essential Functions /
Responsibilities:
Recruiting & Onboarding:
Manage the recruitment process for Ohio-based positions from requisition through orientation and onboarding.
Employee Relations:
Serve as a primary point of contact for employee relations matters, workplace concerns, investigations, conflict resolution, and management guidance.
HR Compliance:
Help ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, regulations, and company policies.
Leave Administration:
Provide compliant oversight and administration of FMLA and other applicable state and federal leave programs, including disability-related programs as appropriate.
Training & Development:
Support employee and management training, coaching, and organizational development initiatives.
HR Support:
Partner with employees and managers to answer questions, resolve concerns, and promote a positive and productive workplace.
HRIS & Documentation:
Maintain accurate and confidential employee information and utilize HRIS systems to support HR processes.
Required Skills, Abilities and Qualifications:
3-5 years of progressive Human Resources experience, including at least 3 years in an HR Generalist role. Experience supporting employee relations, recruiting, training, compensation, benefits, and HR compliance. Experience recruiting for a variety of positions, including management-level roles. Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations. Experience with HRIS systems; ADP Workforce Now experience preferred. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and time-management skills. Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality. Ability to build positive relationships with employees and leaders at all levels. Must be fluent in Spanish Manufacturing experience preferred.
Preferred Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred. Equivalent relevant HR experience may be considered in lieu of a degree. Work Environment and Physical Requirements This is an on-site HR role supporting our manufacturing operations. Commuting to support the Canfield location when needed. Available for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shifts as needed. Spend extended periods working at a desk and using a computer. Navigate and interact with employees and leaders throughout the facility.
