About the Job
We are looking for a gospel-centered, strategic thinker with a passion for people and substantial experience in HR to join the LifeWise team. The Human Resources Generalist will play a pivotal role in implementing HR strategies and processes that align with the goals of LifeWise Academy and foster a positive, collaborative work culture. This full-time position is based at our headquarters in Hilliard, Ohio (just outside of Columbus).
Responsibilities Provide support on a comprehensive range of HR activities, including performance management, policy compliance, recruitment, compensation, employee relations and other HR-related functional areas
Make recommendations regarding adherence to applicable federal, state and local laws, as well as LifeWise Academy policies and procedures
Create and maintain documentation for HR processes and best practices
Support LifeWise Academy's efforts to maintain a healthy and supportive workplace culture, while ensuring accountability to organizational values and ethical standards
Support the HR manager in developing a high-performing HR team
Optimize tools and platforms to improve team productivity and user experience
Partner with other teams to resolve complex program needs
Address HR matters including disciplinary actions, performance issues and employee separations
Participate in the implementation and integration of new policies, procedures, tools and strategies
Perform other tasks as assigned Qualifications A mature personal Christian faith in agreement with the LifeWise Academy Statement of Faith
2+ years of experience as an HR professional
Bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration or similar (preferred)
Experience working in a faith-based or nonprofit environment (preferred)
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the proven ability to facilitate crucial conversations
Comprehensive understanding of HR legislation, policies and procedures
PHR or SPHR certification (preferred)
Proficient computer skills, including Google Workspace Salary and Benefits From $55,000 per year
