HR/Payroll Generalist VIP Hospitality Group - 2.7 Beaverton, OR Job Details $50,000 - $60,000 a year 6 hours ago Benefits Paid holidays Health insurance Dental insurance 401(k) Paid time off Vision insurance 401(k) matching Life insurance Qualifications Technical Proficiency Full Job Description We are seeking an experienced, detail-oriented Payroll & HR Generalist to manage end-to-end payroll processing and support day-to-day Human Resources operations. In this dual-function role, you will ensure timely, accurate, and compliant payroll execution while driving key HR functions, including onboarding, benefits administration, employee relations, and compliance tracking. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, possesses strong communication skills, and maintains absolute discretion with confidential data. Key Responsibilities Payroll Administration Process full-cycle semi-monthly payroll for exempt and non-exempt employees using HRIS/payroll platforms Review and audit electronic timesheets, PTO requests, overtime calculations, commissions, and bonuses for compliance with company policies and labor laws. Calculate and process final paychecks, wage garnishments, tax withholdings, and manual adjustments as needed. Serve as the primary point of contact for employee payroll inquiries and discrepancy resolutions. Reconcile payroll sub-ledgers and collaborate with Accounting/Finance for month-end reporting. Human Resources & Operations Facilitate the full onboarding and offboarding lifecycles, including background checks, initial orientations, and exit interviews. Administer employee benefit plans (health, dental, 401(k), life insurance), managing open enrollment, life events, and monthly billing reconciliations. Assist managers with talent acquisition by drafting job descriptions, screening resumes, and coordinating interviews. Serve as an accessible, trusted resource for employees regarding HR policies, workplace concerns, and conflict resolution. Support managers with performance review cycles, PIP documentation, and disciplinary actions. Compliance & HRIS Management Maintain accurate, up-to-date personnel records, compensation data, and organizational charts in the HRIS. Ensure strict adherence to federal, state, and local employment and labor laws (e.g., FLSA, FMLA, ADA, ERISA, local paid leave mandates). Support annual HR compliance requirements, including ACA reporting, EEO-1 filings, non-discrimination testing, and workers' compensation audits. Qualifications & Skills Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Accounting, or equivalent relevant work experience. 3-5 years of hands-on experience handling full-cycle payroll processing alongside general HR duties.
