Human Resources Generalist:
Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources Management or related field Prior work experience of at least three (3) years employee relations / human resources Computer skills including proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel programs Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines Outstanding interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Reliable, independent means of transportation to travel within the company's service area. Must have a valid driver's license and must drive a car with at least the state minimum required insurance coverage. What you'll do as a
Human Resources Generalist:
Recruitment and Onboarding :
Conduct job interviews, facilitate new hire orientation, maintain and update new hire documentation, and assist with the onboarding process, including employee badge processing and benefits enrollment.
HR Program Administration :
Execute and administer various human resource programs related to compensation, benefits, leave of absence, disciplinary actions, disputes, performance management, and occupational health and safety.
Employee Inquiries :
Address employment-related inquiries from job applicants, employees, and supervisors, collaborating with management on complex or sensitive issues.
Disciplinary Processes :
Participate in employee disciplinary meetings, investigations, and terminations, ensuring compliance with organizational policies.
Training Coordination :
Manage the CPR/Heart-Saver First Aid (HSFA) program, including scheduling classes, tracking certification, and handling related invoices.
Compliance Tracking :
Update tracking systems with employee requirements such as licenses, certifications, and health tests, and notify employees of upcoming expirations.
Background Checks :
Conduct thorough reference checks, criminal background checks, and other necessary verifications for new hires.
File Maintenance :
Maintain organized employee files in both electronic and paper formats, ensuring confidentiality and compliance.
