Employee Relations Consultant Land O'Lakes - 3.4 Arden Hills, MN Job Details Full-time $81,000 - $121,800 a year 20 hours ago Qualifications Employee misconduct investigations HR legal compliance Bachelor's degree Workplace incident investigation Risk assessment Employment law in talent management Full Job Description Employee Relations Consultant The Employee Relations Consultant provides employee relations guidance and support across the organization by conducting workplace investigations, advising on policies and employment practices, and supporting the fair and timely resolution of workplace concerns. The role also supports compliance training and audits and uses Employee Relations and compliance data to identify trends, improve processes, and increase visibility into potential risks.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct Investigations Investigate employee complaints and conflicts, ensuring resolutions are fair and timely Maintain proper case documentation within case management systems Lead the interpretation of employee relations policies and procedures, disciplines, and terminations for non-union facilities Partner with labor relations experts when investigating union organized workforce Collaborate with legal counsel on complex cases Provide Consultation and Guidance Consult with HR Business Partners providing guidance on investigations and accommodations Supports ADA accommodations interactive process by working directly with impacted employees and their leaders Make critical assessment and recommendations, while collaborating with the appropriate SME (legal, global security, etc.) HR Compliance, Training, and Analytics Maintain and analyze employee relations metrics, dashboards, and reporting to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement Support the planning, coordination, tracking, and reporting of required compliance training Coordinate training programs for HR on topics such as investigations, ADA reasonable accommodations, and HR data privacy Conduct monthly I-9 audits and supports ongoing compliance monitoring activities
Required Experience and Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field 3+ years of experience in Employee Relations, HR, Legal or a related field In-depth knowledge of employment law Experience leading workplace investigations
Preferred Experience and Qualifications:
Experience with Employee Relations case management systems (e.g., HR Acuity, NAVEX EthicsPoint or similar) Experience analyzing HR or Employee Relations data and using reporting to identify trends and support decision-making Experience monitoring and applying state-specific HR compliance training requirements Working knowledge of I-9 compliance
Competencies:
Ability to handle confidential information and escalate issues when necessary Ability to effectively manage and prioritize multiple tasks to meet commitments Adaptable to change and capable of leading in uncertain, fast-paced situations Strong organizational skills with attention to detail Excellent evaluation, facilitation, and conflict resolution skills Ability to build trust across all levels of the organization
Location:
Arden Hills, MN. This position is hybrid requiring the individual to be in the office Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.
Salary range:
