Job DescriptionFor this People Relations Specialist project, your focus will be to guide and enhance the relationship between the leaders and employees within the US Sales Market. Your role is crucial in fostering a positive work environment, resolving conflicts, and ensuring that employment policies and practices align with legal requirements. Understanding the broader business goals in your Sales Market and how people relations strategies align with and contribute to achieving those objectives. Equip HR Business Line and Business Leaders with the appropriate training, tools, and access to relevant information to be proactive in managing risk and People Relations related topics/cases.

This hybrid role reports into our People Relations Manager, US and is based out of an US Support Office location (Secaucus, New Jersey).A Day in the LifeWorking at H&M means no two days are ever the same, but a typical day will include the following responsibilities•Focus on day-to-day people relations activities, supporting the HR Business Line in handling issues of conflict resolution, investigations, and policy interpretationHandle escalated investigations and matters where a conflict exists for the HR Business PartnerDrive implementation plan of new and/or updated H&M Group social policies, guidelines or frameworkDeliver on local people relations plans and prios aligned with global strategy and prioritiesAct on local legally needed adaptations of policies and standardsProvide strategic and operational advice to local management and HR Business LineKeep up to date on employment law to ensure complianceGovern and follow up on compliance for entire Sales MarketEnsure local grievance process that is in line with the Global grievance policy and handle grievance investigationsEnsure the respect for freedom of associations for all colleagues connected to our businessCreate a trustful relationship with employee representativesSecure that Managers are fully aware of their responsibilities and have a proactive internal dialogue Drive risk assessments as a tool to identify hazards in the physical and psychosocial work environmentParticipate in risk assessments to analyze and understand events which might lead to crisis and uncertainty in the organization e.g., internal controls or geopolitics contextSecure that crisis is handled in accordance with Our General People Principles - In times of crisisExpectation to contribute to People Relations Network​Occasional domestic and international travel may be required 
QualificationsWho You Are:
At least two years Employee/People Relations experience (may consider equivalent HR education + ER experience)Some knowledge of federal, state, local US employment laws and regulationsProven track record in developing, revising, and implementing HR policies and procedures to ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulationsDemonstrated commitment to human rights advocacy within the workplace.

Compensation:
salary range is $ 97,840-122,300 annually•This job posting highlights the most critical responsibilities and requirements of the job and is not all-inclusive.
