Job Description
Be the First to Apply Job Description Job Summary The Temporary HR Generalist provides professional and administrative support across key Human Resources functions, with primary responsibilities in Compensation, Talent Acquisition , and HR transaction processing. This position works collaboratively with HR team members, hiring managers, employees, and university departments to ensure timely, accurate, and consistent HR services. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, customer-focused, and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced HR environment. This temporary assignment provides broad exposure to HR operations and supports the department during periods of increased workload, special projects, or organizational transition. This is a temporary position with the potential to become a full-time position. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities General knowledge of human resources principles, practices, and procedures. Ability to accurately process HR transactions and maintain detailed records. Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy. Excellent organizational and time-management skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Demonstrated commitment to providing excellent customer service. Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information appropriately. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to research and resolve routine HR issues. Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively as part of an HR team. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook. Ability to learn and effectively use HR information systems and other technology platforms Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in human resources, business, or a related field and two (2) years of related HR or administrative experience OR an equivalent combination of education and experience. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. Previous experience working in a Human Resources department. Experience supporting compensation, talent acquisition, or HR operations. Experience processing employee transactions in an HRIS. Experience with Oracle Cloud HCM or a comparable HR information system.
