SWAG is seeking an experienced, hands-on HR Generalist to support our growing, multi-site operations. This role is a trusted resource for employees and leaders, helping ensure that HR programs, employee relations, performance practices, and compliance processes are applied consistently across the organization. The HR Generalist will partner closely with Distribution Center leadership, Sales, Corporate teams, the Talent Acquisition Specialist, and the Payroll & Benefits Administrator to deliver a strong employee experience while supporting operational performance. What You'll Do Serve as a first point of contact for employee and manager questions related to workplace policies, attendance, leave, performance, and employee relations. Partner with leaders to address performance concerns, conduct workplace investigations, and prepare clear, timely documentation. Guide managers through corrective action, performance improvement plans, employee separations, and other employment decisions in partnership with the Director of HR. Support onboarding, employee changes, job transfers, promotions, and offboarding processes through Rippling. Assist with leave administration, including
FMLA, ADA
accommodations, workers' compensation, and state-specific leave requirements. Help maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws across SWAG's multi-state operations. Support performance review, engagement, recognition, training, and leadership-development initiatives. Maintain accurate personnel records, HR reports, and employee-relations documentation. Partner with the Talent Acquisition Specialist on onboarding, staffing needs, and workforce planning. Travel periodically to SWAG distribution centers to support leaders and employees. What You Bring Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field preferred. Three to five years of progressive HR Generalist experience; distribution, warehouse, manufacturing, or multi-site operations experience strongly preferred. Working knowledge of employee relations, corrective action, FMLA, ADA, FLSA, wage-and-hour practices, and employment-law compliance. Strong judgment, discretion, and ability to handle confidential matters professionally. Clear written and verbal communication skills, with a practical and employee-centered approach. Ability to build credibility with frontline employees, supervisors, and senior leaders. Experience with HRIS platforms; Rippling experience is a plus. PHR, SHRM-CP, or similar HR certification preferred.
Key Performance Indicators Employee Relations Resolution:
Timely, consistent resolution and documentation of employee-relations matters, investigations, corrective actions, and accommodation requests.
Manager Support & Training:
Completion of manager coaching, documentation support, and assigned leadership training initiatives.
Onboarding & Employee Changes:
Accurate, timely completion of onboarding, employee changes, transfers, and offboarding in Rippling.
Compliance & Documentation:
Completion of required HR documentation, personnel-file accuracy, and adherence to leave, wage-and-hour, and employment-law requirements.
Employee Experience & Retention:
Support improved new-hire retention, employee engagement, and a positive, responsive HR experience across SWAG locations. Physical Requirements Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods. Ability to occasionally lift up to 25 pounds. Ability to travel periodically to distribution centers, hiring events, and community recruiting activities. Work Environment This position is based in a professional office environment with regular travel to warehouse and distribution facilities. The Generalist will interact with employees at all organizational levels and may occasionally work in warehouse environments while observing all required safety procedures.
