Full Job Description Job Summary:
Our growing Skilled Home Health Agency is seeking an experienced and highly organized Human Resources Professional to support our clinical and administrative team. We are looking for someone who understands that HR in home health goes beyond hiring- it requires strong follow-through, attention to managing the employee life cycle, from, payroll, employee relations, compliance, and the ability to keep employees moving efficiently through recruitment, onboarding, credentialing, and ongoing employment requirements. Duties Recruit and onboard RNs, LVNs, therapists, home health aides, and administrative staff Maintain complete, accurate, and survey-ready employee personnel files Track professional licenses, certifications, background checks, competencies, TB testing, and other required credentials Coordinate new-hire orientation and ensure completion of employment requirements Monitor expiring credentials and follow up with employees regarding outstanding documentation Manage employee attendance, PTO, payroll changes, and related documentation Prepare, review, and process payroll accurately and timely Verify employee timekeeping and resolve payroll discrepancies prior to payroll processing Process new hires, terminations, pay-rate changes, deductions, and other payroll updates Maintain accurate payroll records and reports Respond to employee payroll questions and resolve discrepancies Coordinate with management regarding payroll corrections and approvals Assist with employee relations, disciplinary actions, performance evaluations, and HR documentation Maintain confidentiality of employee, payroll, and personnel information Support agency leadership with staffing and workforce needs Experience Previous HR and payroll experience required Healthcare HR experience strongly preferred Home Health, Hospice, Skilled Nursing, or similar healthcare experience preferred Experience processing payroll for a high-volume workforce Knowledge of healthcare credentialing and employee compliance requirements Strong attention to detail and ability to meet strict payroll deadlines Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced healthcare environment Strong computer skills and experience with payroll, HR, and timekeeping systems The Ideal Candidate We are seeking someone who is proactive, integral, dependable, detail-oriented, and accountable . This individual should be comfortable taking ownership of HR and payroll processes, identifying issues before they become problems, and ensuring employees are properly onboarded, credentialed, paid, and maintained in compliance with agency requirements.
