Job Description

HR Compliance & Policy Management Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws (FLSA, FMLA, ADA, EEOC, etc.) Maintain and update HR policies, procedures, and employee handbook Conduct internal audits of HR processes and employee records Assist with investigations, documentation, and resolution of employee relations issues Support compliance reporting (EEO-1, OSHA logs, audits, etc.) Stay current on HR legal updates and proactively recommend changes FMLA & Leave Administration Administer all aspects of employee leave programs, including FMLA, ADA, short-term/long-term disability, and state leave laws Determine eligibility, track leave usage, and maintain accurate documentation Serve as the primary point of contact for employees and managers regarding leave-related questions Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations and maintain confidentiality Partner with managers to support return-to-work processes and accommodations Payroll Operations Support Provide operational support for payroll processing activities, including pre‑ and post‑payroll validation. Partner with Payroll leadership to ensure timely and accurate payroll execution across multiple states. Assist with off‑cycle payrolls, adjustments, reversals, and corrections as needed. Maintain accurate payroll records and documentation in accordance with internal controls and retention standards. Support year‑end payroll activities, including W‑2 validation and reconciliation. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Strong knowledge of HR employment laws, regulations and best practices Experience with multi-state compliance Knowledge of benefits administration. Assist with benefits administration as needed Experience using Microsoft Office products (i.e. Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, SharePoint). Strong understanding of payroll processes, wage and hour requirements, and multi-state payroll considerations Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to manage high-volume, detail-heavy workloads (FMLA tracking, etc.)
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience) 5+ years of HR experience, with hands-on experience in: FMLA and leave management, HR compliances and payroll processing Experience with HRIS and payroll systems HR certification (PHR, SHRM-CP, or similar) - willingness to pursue Contribute to HR projects and process improvements Salary range is $65,000-75,000 annually This is an onsite position working at the corporate headquarters in Brookfield, WI.
