Note:
Must be flexible to support a 24/7 manufacturing operation , including occasional early mornings, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays as business needs require. Job Summary We are seeking an experienced HR Generalist to support a fast-paced manufacturing facility in Eau Claire, WI. This role partners with employees, supervisors, and HR leadership to deliver day-to-day HR support in employee relations, labor relations, recruiting, onboarding, compliance, and HR operations. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working in a unionized manufacturing environment and building strong relationships across all levels of the organization. Key Responsibilities Provide HR guidance on employee relations, attendance, performance, corrective actions, and policy interpretation. Support labor relations activities, including grievance administration, investigations, documentation, and collective bargaining agreement interpretation. Partner with managers on performance management and employee relations matters. Support recruiting, interview scheduling, onboarding, orientation, and new hire experience. Maintain HR records, personnel files, HR systems, and reporting. Assist employees with HR processes, benefits, payroll, leave, and HR-related inquiries. Ensure compliance with employment laws, company policies, safety, food safety, and quality standards. Participate in employee engagement, retention, recognition, and continuous improvement initiatives. Maintain a strong presence on the production floor and support employees across multiple shifts as needed. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field preferred (or equivalent HR experience). 3+ years of HR Generalist, Employee Relations, HR Operations, or Recruiting experience. Manufacturing or 24/7 production environment experience preferred. Union/labor relations experience and grievance handling preferred. Knowledge of employment laws (FLSA, FMLA, ADA, EEO, NLRA). Experience with Microsoft Office and HR systems such as SAP SuccessFactors, UKG/Kronos, SharePoint, or similar. Required Skills Strong employee relations and conflict resolution skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive matters professionally. Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Flexible schedule to support operational needs across shifts.
