is seeking an HR/Safety Generalist. The candidate must be very detailed oriented and work with constant interruptions. Discretion required for confidential information. Manages personnel/human resources-related functions. Administers and supports tasks related to medical leave management and requests such as Family and Medical Leave, workers' compensation, reasonable accommodations, light duty, etc. Assist new and terminating employees with paperwork. Advises and interprets human resource policies and procedures. Manages the performance appraisal process. Coordinates the recruitment and selection process for procuring new personnel. Administers, coordinates, and develops testing instruments. Assists in interviewing potential employees and drafts interview questions. Prepares and composes applicable correspondence. Maintains applicable files. Compiles and organizes reference materials. Serves as HR Liaison to committees assigned; support programs and activities of committees; develop and maintain methods to measure programs and develop new programs within allocation of existing resources and committee goals. (CAM-PLEX Safety Committee, CAM-PLEX Employee Appreciation Committee). Manages payroll related functions. Processes payroll by verifying the accuracy of employee timecards and making changes when required. Prepares payroll reports and monitors payroll budget. Provides advice and assistance to supervisors and employees regarding personnel guidelines and policies and procedures. Assists command staff with the research, preparation, maintenance, and dissemination of policies. Prepares and manages department assigned financial activities. Assists in processing purchase orders. Checks invoices for accuracy, including identification and tracking of unusual transactions. Balances and posts purchase orders, reconciles statements, and prepares and prints checks. Research, compiles, and analyzes periodic statistical data/reports and supporting materials regarding recruitment procedures and other personnel practices. Conducts and completes classification/compensation/benefit surveys. Analyzes, evaluates, and makes recommendations on internal classifications/salary relations. Responds to inquiries concerning salary/benefit surveys and information. Organizes and maintains personnel records. Establishes and updates the contents of employee folders. Ensures accuracy and completeness of confidential personnel files and documents. Performs related duties as required and administratively supports other departments as workload allows.
Required Education and Experience:
Three (3) to five (5) years of experience in human resources administration. Equivalent to an associate degree in accounting, human resources, or a related field. Any equivalent combination of training, education, and experience that provides the required skills, knowledge, and abilities.
