Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a driven Staffing Consultant for a direct hire opportunity in Glendale, CA. This role is ideal for a motivated recruiting and client development professional who enjoys building relationships, making placements, and working in a performance-driven staffing environment. The Staffing Consultant will manage both client-facing sales activity and candidate recruiting efforts, helping companies fill temporary and direct hire positions while supporting candidates throughout the hiring and placement process. This opportunity offers a supportive team environment, regular performance coaching, ongoing training, and a clear structure for success through defined goals, quality processes, and leadership support.   • Develop and maintain client relationships through prospecting, retention calls, needs assessments, meetings, and consistent follow-up.
  • Obtain and manage job orders, confirm job requirements, quote approved pricing, and match qualified candidates to open roles.
  • Source, attract, interview, qualify, and document candidates using company systems, internet tools, and recruiting processes.
  • Submit qualified candidates to client opportunities and coach both clients and candidates through the hiring and placement process.
  • Maintain regular post-placement follow-up with temporary associates, clients, and candidates to support retention and service quality.
  • Plan daily, weekly, and monthly activity blocks to meet key performance indicators, performance standards, and placement goals. Compensation and Benefits
  • Salary range: $80,000 to $100,000 per year.
  • Job type: Direct hire.
  • Work arrangement may include working remotely and/or from a designated company location as required, based on company, division, branch, and performance needs.
  • Commission eligibility is tied to required client service, candidate service, placement activity, and post-placement follow-up. Required Qualifications and Skills
  • Manage client development, retention, and new business targeting activities within a staffing or service-based sales environment.
  • Recruit, interview, qualify, and maintain a pipeline of candidates for temporary and direct hire placement opportunities.
  • Match pre-qualified candidates to job orders and prepare accurate, compelling candidate profiles for client submission.
  • Coach clients and candidates through interviews, offers, placements, and post-placement follow-up.
  • 1 to 2 years of relevant experience, with two or more years of similar customer development experience preferred.
  • Prior experience working in a commission-based, bonus-based, or goal-driven role.
  • Recent work history should include no more than two companies within the past two years.
  • Ability to consistently meet or exceed monthly and year-to-date performance standards.
  • Strong verbal, written, and digital communication skills, including grammar, spelling, and sentence structure.
  • Ability to prioritize competing deadlines, manage multiple tasks, and perform well under pressure.
  • Strong emotional intelligence, good judgment, and professionalism when handling feedback, conflict, or demanding customer situations.
  • Ability to work productively onsite, remotely, independently, and in a collaborative team environment.
  • Proficiency using Microsoft Office Excel, Word, and Outlook at a basic level.
  • Current proficiency using the internet and similar systems for applicant tracking, sales, marketing, or customer service.
  • Ability to type 36 WPM and accurately enter daily data into assigned systems.
  • Ability to participate in client meetings at client locations as needed. Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in staffing, recruiting, employment services, sales, customer service, or business development.
  • Familiarity with applicant tracking systems, CRM platforms, job order management, candidate sourcing tools, or similar processing systems.
  • Experience supporting both temporary staffing and direct hire recruiting activity.
  • Strong comfort level with outbound calls, client meetings, candidate interviews, and relationship-based selling.
