Karbon Agency is an executive search firm focused on the quantitative finance industry. Our clients employ the top minds in Mathematics, Computer Science, Statistics, and Machine Learning (AI).

Position Overview:

We are seeking a driven and resourceful recruiter, ideally with experience in the tech or finance domain, to join our team. You will play a key role in sourcing, screening, and placing candidates. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a foundation in recruiting who wants to work on the highest-paying searches across Silicon Valley and Wall Street, whilst building a Rolodex of the world's most sought-after talent (research scientists from top AI labs, quantitative researchers & traders from leading hedge funds, STEM PhDs from Ivy League/equivalent universities, etc.)

•The compensation range listed in this posting refers only to the base salary/draw. The role is primarily compensated via commissions, which are in addition to the base salary. Successful hires can earn multiples of the base salary in total compensation.

Key Responsibilities:

Source talent using a variety of channels including LinkedIn, company database, referrals, and your growing network. Screen and interview talent for roles including (but not limited to) Senior Portfolio Manager, Quantitative Researcher/Trader, Software Engineer, Data Scientist, Research Engineer, Machine Learning Engineer, etc. Manage the full recruitment life cycle, from initial outreach to offer negotiation and onboarding support. Maintain and update candidate records in the applicant tracking system (ATS). Prepare profiles and summaries for client submission and follow up on interview feedback. Build and maintain strong relationships with talent and clients alike, ensuring a positive experience for all stakeholders. Stay current on market trends, emerging technologies, and the competitive landscape in the hedge fund and quantitative finance space.

Qualifications:

1-5 years (maximum) of experience in recruiting, preferably in a staffing or agency environment. Exposure to technology or finance recruiting is preferred; a strong interest in the tech and hedge fund industries is a must. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills. Comfortable working in a fast-paced, performance-driven environment with multiple competing priorities. Proficient with ATS platforms, LinkedIn Recruiter, and other sourcing tools. Ability to assess both technical skills and cultural fit.

$50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
