This role is heavily focused on recruiting DOT-regulated commercial drivers (Class

A & B CDL

) as the top priority, while also supporting administrative and operational hiring needs. Reporting to the Talent Acquisition Manager this position plays a critical role in shaping hiring strategies, building strong talent pipelines, and supporting company growth. You may submit your resume's on indeed or directly to our Talent Acquisition Manager at What You'll Do Partner with the Talent Acquisition Manager to develop accurate job descriptions and hiring criteria. Monitor applications received through Indeed, LinkedIn, and other approved recruiting platforms. Contact applicants within 24 hours of applying. Call each applicant and leave a voicemail when there is no answer; follow up by email or Indeed message when applicable. Conduct initial phone screenings using approved screening questions and complete the required screening form for each call. Confirm that driver applicants hold the correct license class for the position before moving them forward. Prepare clear interview notes and submit qualified candidates to the appropriate hiring manager. Maintain accurate, up-to-date applicant activity in the recruiting spreadsheet, documenting each call, voicemail, email, follow-up, and candidate outcome. Draft and deliver employment offers to selected candidates. Coordinate and monitor pre-employment screenings to support timely onboarding of new employees. Send rejection notices to candidates who are not selected. Manage job advertisements, including pausing, reopening, and closing postings as needed based on applicant volume and position status. Participate in regular team check-ins and communicate through approved company channels. Perform other recruiting and administrative duties as assigned. What We're Looking For High school diploma or equivalent required. Previous recruiting, staffing, human resources, or administrative experience preferred. Experience conducting phone screenings and evaluating applicant qualifications. Knowledge of California hiring laws, regulations, and recruiting best practices. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Outlook, Word, and Teams. Experience with Indeed, LinkedIn, or similar recruiting platforms preferred. Fluency in English required.
